Update - Thursday June 10th, 2010
- Krytan Events
The Shining Blade, pleased with adventurers' performance against Willem the Demeaning, are now searching for other Mursaat in Kryta. Despite the difficulty in obtaining infused armor, many soldiers-for-hire are acquiring these pieces to better serve their clientele. Now those who fight for a free Kryta can field a group, in outposts across the land, that will be better protected from the Mursaat's most vile magic.
- Bug Fixes
The AI now refrains from activating skills while under the effect of Loose Magic.
Fixed a bug that caused some players resurrecting in Scoundrel's Rise to be zoned to the Gates of Kryta outpost.
- Notes
A new quest, "A Little Help From Above", was added to the War in Kryta.

Well, at least they won't die in 3 seconds now. Maybe they'll last 10. Hopefully, they got Falken too. Not that anyone's doing the escort anymore, but still.

When one such as me uses Death pact sig as a hero hard res, henchmen being infused is indeed a good thing.

Infused armor does little when the AI is suicidal.

I just wanted to say that it was all I could do not to impale myself with the asuran beacon during the new abysmally long mission.
This the last mission/quest I'm going to do for WiK.
The henchmen aren't level 20 & they still suck. Infusion didn't seem to really do much for them.
This was posted in another thread about the new WiK stuff. It deserves to be posted again.

The henchmen may still be stupid but they do suck up more damage, better them than me!
Have to agree with scarlett above, the mission was dragged out with all the pop up mantle once you got the key, pretty annoying after a while, felt like they were put in just to prolong the mission. Compared to RA it felt like forever. H/H took about an hour.

But what good would that bring, if your party has to waste time having to rez them everytime they die?

Yeah, the mission is stupidly long, and the magically re-spawning mantle on the way back from the boss key are infuriating. It's not enough that you have to slog to the ends of the earth - you have to fight all the way back too. The rewards should be about triple what they are. At least - just for the frustration factor.

Since they lived longer than before, my party did not res them as often. They also incurred less DP than before and did not need massive DP removal only to die again later. This enabled them to suck up more damage, in the new mission I was only hit with SA once.
They also were not constantly getting instantly vaporized once ressurected. So in the end the party did not have to waste more time than before bringing them back.

The re-spawning mantle on the way back from getting the boss key sucked any fun I was having right out of the quest. Clearing out the village to get to the boss was a decent challenge though.
QUESTION FOR ANYONE WHO DID IT WITH OTHERS: Can each player in the party get the standard thingie, or is it a one-at-a-time thing?

each party member can get one, was fun when my group pulled like 4 groups together in shaemoor, and dropped our beacons. mwahahahaha
also I agree with the long part of this mission, i think anet realized no one really went to the other end for the keys in the RA mish, and purposely made this annoyingly long.

I liked the mission, very fun and long yes, but not to the point that it sucked. Also...am I the only one who could totally see the role of steffan in the cartoon above being played perfectly by John Travolta, lol. That would totally be the exact way he would say the dialogue up there, funny.

Each player can get one and you can replenish them as much as you want, btw, if you die, you're res'd right in the spot to grab the beacons
